What type of encryption should i use on my wireless router?

PimpMyPc recommends using Wpa2 Aes & Tkip if your router can support that but Wpa with just Aes is good too. Do not use wep encryption it is very weak encryption & can be hacked easliy. Wpa2 is the best encryption for routers that I currently know of.

Avast Home Edition:

Avast Home edition provides powerful antivirus protection. It is free for home users only. Commercial users must purchase Avast Professional edition which includes a few more features. Avast home edition requires a activation key which you will need to register from http://www.avast.com/ , you will have 60 days to register it or it will not work or update. Avast home edition also detects some spyware which is a good feature. Avast home edition is very light on your system with approximently 6 running processes required for avast to run. Also it automatically updates by itself and you can change the updating to update such as every 100 mins, or maybe every 200 mins its set to default at 200 mins. Avira Anitvir Personal:

Avira Antivir Personal has the highest detection, says Av compartives. I personally use avira antivir personal currently. I use to use avast home editon but decided to try another antivirus program. First thing i noticed in avira antivir personal is how light it is on resources, then i noticed the nice interface and fast full system scans which take about 30 mins usually for a full scan. Also in avira antivir personal there is an option to schedule a full system scan and to update it at a certain time. Avira antivir personal is updated 1 or 2 times a day usually. Avira tech support is very fast. I had some problem iwth a fake positive and i emailed them and the next day i got an email back that they will fix it in the next update and i had to send them the file and the next day it was fixed. Also Avira has other versions that you must pay for that have more features. Avira seems to be a prime choice for a solid Antivirus program with very high detections and very good protection at no price.
